General Information

Street Fest

For four days, the area around the Blücherplatz is a place where people meet to celebrate what Berlin has so abundantly of - cultural wealth and creativity. This celebration is a statement for a vivid city in which cultural exchange is appreciated as a gift.

This includes, of course, a music program that presents the most diverse musical styles from all directions. But also acrobats, puppets and other creatures of unusual shape and size, mysterious objects and fortune tellers can be encountered while strolling and inspire all children, young and old.

There is a lot to discover at 350 stands - food and drinks from all over the world, arts and crafts offered by local artists or traders from far away. In addition there are also information stands of associations and initiatives that are committed to social justice and ecological sustainability.

“Shanti Town”
In the middle of the festival area we set up our action camp and celebrate world peace. Our collective of human rights activists, artists, animal and environmental activists invite you to help shape the change.
With various associations and initiatives, a cinema, for-free-shop, composting toilets, workshops, poster printing and other participatory actions, we are standing up against racism and war; for diversity, sustainability and respect for all living beings.
The two music corners "Hallischer Forst" and "Liegender Teppich" offer dance performances, discussions, circus, theatre, performances, songwriters, sound tinkerers, bands and global dance music.

Music Corners
At eight different locations on the festival grounds, partners of the Karneval der Kulturen offer a program that encourages visitors to join in - come and dance Kizomba, swing your hips to swing, rock your hair to a guitar thunderstorm or visit the Silent Disco.

Admission is free.
